My Mission Statement

I believe in the goodness of others

and of life, and in seeking beauty

and truth and fun and unity

and extreme bravery,

and when I can't find it...

I believe in going out and creating it.

I believe in doing difficult things as joyfully as possible.

I believe everything we need most and will bring the most joy into our lives is usually right in front of our faces.

I believe in family. I believe in unconditional true love. I believe that East or West, home is best.

I believe in sharing anything and everything that may be of value to someone else.

I believe in creating the things that I seek but cannot find.

I believe in goodness. It is everywhere.

"I've been absolutely terrified every moment of my life and I've never let it keep me from doing a single thing I've wanted to do."
-Georgia O'Keefe

“All good things are wild, and free.”
- Henry David Thoreau

"I was here. I was hungry. I was defeated. I was happy. I was sad. I was in love. I was afraid. I was hopeful. I had an idea and I had a good purpose and that's why I made works of art."
-Felix Gonzales-Torres

"I will dare to just do what I do. Be just what I am and dance whenever I want."
-Beverly Williams

"Imagine yourself as a living house. God comes in to rebuild that house. At first, perhaps, you can understand what He is doing. He is getting the drains right and stopping the leaks in the roof and so on; you knew that those jobs needed doing and so you are not surprised. But presently He starts knocking the house about in a way that hurts abominably and does not seem to make any sense. What on earth is He up to? The explanation is that He is building quite a different house from the one you thought of - throwing out a new wing here, putting on an extra floor there, running up towers, making courtyards. You thought you were being made into a decent little cottage: but He is building a palace. He intends to come and live in it Himself."
— C.S. Lewis
